Growth and development as a mobiliser does not happen overnight, This is normally a journey - not so much a conscious decision as a gradual realisation of calling. The mobiliser's pathway can be described under three headings:
Reflecting on one’s personal journey with God and the discovery of his heart for the nations has led many to the realisation that this knowledge is not something they can keep to themselves. They may not immediately recognise it, but they are being called to the role of a mobiliser. This is often confirmed or affirmed by others and by God himself as they begin to share what they have learnt, either informally or by facilitating a missions course such as Kairos or Youth Kairos.
Training is best done in the context of community - journeying with others into ministry. Simply Mobilising is in the process of developing training and programmes for those who sense a calling as mission mobilisers. Our aim is to create opportunities for people to become part of a mobilisation movement.
A mobiliser cannot keep to himself what God has put on his heart. Sooner or later he or she will begin to actively minister as mobilisers to the body of Christ. A passion develops for the areas of training God’s people and seeking to ‘grow the Tribe of Mobilisers’. For some this will be a part-time role; others will choose to give undivided time and energy to the ministry of mission mobilisation. Simply Mobilising’s programmes and structure aim to provide mobilisers with support, advocacy and tools for the job.
